Street Preaching

I was out one Saturday giving the Gospel to anyone who would listen when I happened on a town hall meeting. Having being previously convicted by God to preach in the open air, and attracted to the possibility of having a microphone in my hand I stopped to find out what was happening. I discovered that after the main speakers were done, the microphone would be opened to anyone who had something to say. PRAISE GOD! He provided an awesome platform for my first venture in street preaching, wouldn't you agree?

Bible Note

In Mercy
Exodus 15:15-18

Oh my goodness. He they complained, and fussed, and were dissatisfied while God, in His MERCY lead His people. Even during the plagues of Egypt there was murmuring against Moses and God. Just before He delivered them through the Red Sea they accused Moses, and through him, God of bringing them out to destroy them. Yet here they look back, and rightfully proclaim that even though the going was tough and hard, God led them in mercy.

And He was not done with them, nor is He done with us. Baptism unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea was only the beginning just as our salvation and baptism is only the beginning of our new life. As God led them in His mercy to the promised land and on to His holy Habitation into eternity they faced trials, hardships, difficulties, yeah even impossible situations. Many complained and were destroyed on the way.

God leads me in His mercy. He prunes me in His mercy. He purges me in His mercy. He conforms me in His mercy to my final figure; the image of Christ. While no chastisement is joyous at the time, it does bring forth the peceable fruit of righteousness and while looking forward to the joy that is set before me let me, as Jesus did, endure the cross.

Pressing on,
